Angela: My dad passed away April 30th [2025]. It was a significant loss. Rep [DeLoach] was really my father's attorney and his estate planner and Rep kind of reviewed the trust with my father these last few times. My dad was in hospice, and he wasn't doing well, but it was coming into somebody who knew my dad inside and out.
And he not only supported my father, but he supported our entire family by being proactive in getting some tweaks to the trust prior to his passing. He made himself available, he answered the questions, and it was all about that relationship. He had a relationship, and it wasn't just a business relationship.
Lyndon: He was always referred by his first name. I mean, it wasn't like the firm, or this is always by the first name.
Angela: And it was authentic, and you could feel that Rep radiated that authenticity.
And I was firsthand, got to witness the back and forth with my dad and Rep to see the power in that relationship. And I actually felt kind of sorry for Rep because there were times that I asked the same questions like multiple times. But for me, it's just, again, I had to have that clarity, right?
And he provided it. He gave me the answer and then the explanation, and then I would come back with a follow-up question, are you sure? And [he'd say] we're going to be okay.
So I look at Rep as not only my father's attorney, but he's coached me. He's kind of coached me and helped me along the way because right now I'm looking at a trust and doing all the things for the trust. So he provided me with some support and some coaching to help me along because he's been through the process and he knows the process.
He has been a partner to us, a coach to us, a loyal person that we could rely on.
