Support of Sportsmanship
December, 2019
DeLoach, Hofstra & Cavonis, P.A. is a sponsor of the Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS) athletic program. IRCS is a preschool through 12th grade, private Christian school in Largo. Attorney Paul Cavonis and his wife, Julie, are proud parents of two alumni and one current Senior graduating in May. With a banner at the school’s stadium, Paul used his sponsorship to encourage fans, parents, players, and coaches to maintain a positive atmosphere at sporting events by quoting the wisdom of Ephesians 4:29 (NIV): “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”
The Gift of Giving
December 21, 2018
DHC and Seminole Title Company hosted two Christmas charity events this year. They donated to “Fill the Sled,” a Seminole Lake Rotary Club toy drive for foster kids. Additionally, they donated funds and toys to sponsor a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) family for Christmas. This year’s GAL family had seven children ranging in ages from one to seventeen. Serving since 2013, Attorney Paul Cavonis is a volunteer GAL appointed by the Court to advocate for the best interests of a child who has been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Special thanks to Paul’s paralegal Monica Case for once again leading this meaningful initiative. With both the GAL family and Fill the Sled project, the staff was thrilled to be able to touch so many young lives this past holiday season.
The Gift of Giving

Each year, the law firm and Seminole Title Company staff donate funds or toys to sponsor a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) family for Christmas. This year’s family was a mother of five, all under the age of 9, who had just taken in her 12-year-old sister. A GAL is a volunteer appointed by the Court to advocate for the best interest of a child who has been abused, neglected, or abandoned. The majority of these children have been removed from their homes and placed with relatives or foster parents. Attorney Paul Cavonis has served as a volunteer GAL since 2013. When asked why he does it, he said “the children need an advocate to give them a voice.” Special thanks to Paul’s paralegal Monica Case and law clerk Jordan Case for leading this meaningful initiative to ensure that each of the sponsored children received gifts this holiday season.

DeLoach & Hofstra, P.A. is a proud sponsor of Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS), a preschool through 12th grade, private Christian school located in Largo. Sponsorships such as ours help enhance the school ministry by providing for projects and people. The projects component is geared towards enhancing programs by providing equipment and materials or to make technology advancements and physical plant improvements. The people element helps achieve their purpose in the community of making a Christian Education accessible for families who desire a quality environment for their child. Proud IRCS parents Paul and Julie Cavonis are pictured with Katherine (8th grade) and Emily (11th grade). Their talented son Michael (not pictured) is a 2014 graduate and still holds three unbroken track records in the 400m, 4x100m relay and 4x100m.
