Sometimes the best way to recharge is with a wagging tail. As part of our Mindful May wellness initiative, the Legal Beagles welcomed Suncoast Animal League and its outreach program to our office for a special "Paws & Relax" lunch-hour event. Staff enjoyed spending time with several friendly therapy dogs—along with a few adoptable pups—while taking a well-deserved break from the workday.

Denali, a well-known rescue dog at Suncoast Animal League. The visit included Denali, who is a well-known rescue dog who survived horrific abuse and became a certified therapy animal!

Research continues to show what dog lovers have always known: spending time with animals can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve mood, and promote overall well-being. The visit offered our team an opportunity to unwind, recharge, and experience firsthand the comfort therapy dogs provide to patients, children, seniors, and others throughout our community.

Our team also organized a month-long pet supply drive to support Suncoast Animal League's lifesaving mission. Staff generously donated food, treats, toys, cleaning supplies, and other much-needed items to help care for rescued animals awaiting their forever homes.

The event was especially meaningful because many of the therapy ambassadors are rescue dogs themselves. After being given a second change, these remarkable animals now visit hospitals, schools, libraries, nursing homes, and community organizations, bringing comfort, encouragement, and joy wherever they go.

About Suncoast Animal League

Suncoast Animal League is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization based in Palm Harbor, Florida. In addition to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals, the League trains select rescue dogs through therapy programs preparing them to provide comfort and companionship to children, patients, seniors, and community members across the Tampa Bay area.

We're grateful to everyone who donated supplied and helped make this year's Paws & Relax event such a success. Supporting organizations that care for both people and pets is just one more way we're committed to strengthen the communities we serve.
